No, it ain’t a “normal” job, for lack of a better term. But it’s a job nonetheless & that’s the point I wanted to make. A fireman is not a normal job ‘cuz not everybody is built for running into burning houses. But it’s a job.

There are some ppl who would argue that even workin at McDonald’s ain’t even a normal job… it’s beneath a normal job. That’s where the degrading term “McJob” came from, it defines all low-paying, low-prestige jobs…
