In the interest of multitasking I’ve found a way to satisfy both the horn dogs and the gun nuts. It’s all about efficiency here at The Spizzy. No artistic statement to be made. It simply is what it is.

I agree with you. Guns in movies are different than guns in real life. The things people do with guns in movies could not always be done in real life. The sound is loud, a person could be deaf shooting a big gun. And yes, guns are heavy. I’m from the ghetto, I grew up around guns.
I also agree that John Woo influenced American movies, in fact all movies, with his shoot-em up action. But his movies were very good & the action was more like a ballet & almost beautiful. Well-organized. Well-executed. And you are right, John Woo’s Hollywood movies are not as good. I only watch his Hong Kong flicks.
We have a serious gun problem in the streets here, Kaoru. You don’t seem to have that problem in Japan. People use knives over there most of the time, like the guy who stabbed everybody in Akihabara train station. That happened when I was in Japan last time. But in the U.S.A., everybody has a gun. It’s crazy. It’s part of American culture.
