But first, our Q&A session with The Samoan Stunna herself, Kai Lei…
Black Pacino: Talk about Candy Gurl Inc. and what you offer both your models & your clientele.
Kai Lei: I’ve been asked several times to manage other models. So with my company Candy Gurl Inc., I am doing just that with the help of my partners. Also being a model myself, I offer insight to my models in this business and use the connections I’ve made with various photographers and magazine editors to my advantage as well. I thank everyone for their support thus far.
Pacino: When scouting new talent, what do you look for in a model?
Kai: Personality. Looks of course but there has to be something I feel from within the model as well.
Pacino: You’re pretty hot yourself. How and why did you get into the modeling game?
Kai: I am also a makeup artist and stepped from behind the camera in ‘09 to pursue modeling. I’ve always loved the transformation that happens within a picture, so that’s what made me model and continue to model.
Pacino: What separates Kai Lei from the rest of the pack?
Kai: I am the goofiest person you ever meet! (Laughs) I am really humble and do not take my blessings for granted because as soon as they came, they can be taken away as well.
Pacino: Physically, what do you consider your sexiest feature?
Kai: My eyes. They are green and change from hazel to gray. And yes, they are God-given.
Pacino: They’re lovely but I know my favorite part of you already. (Laughs)
Kai: I bet you do. (Laughs)
Pacino: What are your turn-ons and turn-offs?
Kai: I love tall good smelling men with beards. Kind-hearted, funny and genuine. I dislike dirty fingernails, men who are possessive and insecure.
Pacino: What’s the worst pick-up line you’ve ever heard?
Kai: (Laughs) Is your name Sharon? ‘Cause all that… you got you’ve got to be sharin with somebody!
Pacino: Ugh! He deserved a blast of pepper-spray for that line. If you could do a shoot featuring you and one celebrity, who would it be and why?
Kai: 50 Cent. I love him and I’m gonna marry him soon… (just joking) But I do think he’s sexy as hell and I love his style.
Pacino: His name is 50 and your booty-size is 50: perfect match. A woman as hot & progressive as you must have plenty of haters. How does Kai Lei remain hater-proof?
Kai: I’m not hater proof (laughs). I have them and they are plenty… but if I wasn’t on my job then I guess I wouldn’t have them, huh?
Pacino: True dat. How do you feel about chicks like Kat Stacks & Superhead?
Kai: While what they’ve done is not my cup of tea, they are grown women and did what they thought was best for them.
Pacino: Some people don’t like the terms “urban model” or “plus-size model” because they feel it puts them in a box. Any thoughts?
Kai: I’m aware of my market and demographic. Those titles don’t bother me. I’m not tall enough to do high fashion. I’m short with big titties and a big ass and I’m cute (laughs).
Pacino: No argument there. What are some of your upcoming projects and where can the Thirst Mob see you?
Kai: I am on the cover of the DMV Vixen Edition of Stunnaz Magazine with my fellow model and good friend Kristina Divine slated for a Fall 2011 release.
