Greg Oden’s injury-plagued tenure with the Portland Trailblazers finally came to an end when the team waived him after five years; a span in which he’s only played 82 games… the equivalent of a single NBA season. In honor of Greg Oden and the organization that wasted a No. 1 draft pick to get him (bypassing superstar Kevin Durant in the process), I’ve compiled these signature moments from Greg’s illustrious NBA career.

Greg Oden’s knees finally caught up with his face & got OLD real quick. But he did win the league’s MFP, Most Fragile Player, every season. The award is made of glass.
Damn this is just cruel. The Blazers are doomed to fail. We know about Mike, but think about they traded out of the 2 spot in the 06 draft to draft Martell Webster and passed on Derron Williams and Chris Paul. People say the Blazers did the right thing by drafting Oden, I say bs to that. You don’t pass on a guy that leads the nation in points and boards per game. I’m always leery of a college people that never has an explosion game that proves he’s a pro talent. Oden never had one.
If I was Greg I’d sign with the Heat, Spurs or Mavericks. They can stash him away and let him heal properly.
If I was Greg I’d worry about just being able to walk again. That’s more important than sports. After that, he can sucker a new team into letting him sit on the sideline.
Don’t forget to add Brandon Roy to the list of Blazer misfortunes… but at least Roy played for a while & gave them sumthin to cheer about. All Oden did was show the fans his collection of suits & ties.
Maybe Greg Oden really is the age shown on his jersey..that would explain everything!..he’s been exposed!
