The mugshot pretty much seals this guy’s guilt for me. I don’t wanna sound like a bigot but in my humble opinion, 66-year old big rig trucker Robert Ben Rhoades fits the profile of a crazy muthafucka. Unless he auditioned for the lead role in a Popeye remake and stayed in character, that type of grill ain’t normal.
Well my suspicions have been confirmed: Mr. Rhoades admitted that he’s a serial killer who converted his 18-wheeler truck as a rolling torture chamber.

SUTTON COUNTY, Tex. (KTLA) — A serial killer who set up a torture chamber in his long haul truck and kidnapped hitchhikers across the country has admitted to two more killings.
Convicted killer Robert Ben Rhoades pleaded guilty this week to the murders of a newlywed couple from Seattle in 1990. Prosecutors said missionaries Patricia Candace Walsh and her husband Scott Zyskowski were hitchhiking to Georgia when they took a ride from Rhoades near El Paso, Texas.
A month after the murders of Zyskowski and Walsh, Rhodes picked up a 14-year-old hitchhiker and her boyfriend near Houston. Regina Walters body was later found by a farmer in downstate Illinois, her boyfriend was never found. Rhoades pleaded guilty to Walters’ murder in 1992 and is currently serving a life sentence in Illinois.
Prosecutors say Rhoades had a hidden dungeon in the cab of his his long-haul rig. The rig was equipped with handcuffs on the ceiling, which enabled Rhoades to chain his female victims so that he could torture them before killing them.
Rhoades is believed to have killed an average of three women a month by the early 1990s.

Anyway, I’m glad they finally have Robert Ben Rhoades in custody; the highways are a safer place. But how long before Mr. Rhoades sells his story to Hollywood, so we can see a Micheal Bay-produced thriller with exploding trucks and body parts spilling all over the asphalt?
Yeah..really. People of Color go through crazy profiling, yet this just zips right on by. He will probably get dough and sell the story to Hollywood. Perfect person to cast in the 100th installment of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

What a waste of a good trailer. If I had an 18-wheeler I wouldn’t be torturing chicks in it… I’d have a club in my trailer with a dancefloor, bar, hot tub, all that shit. Might keep the handcuffs, tho, in case the girls wanna get kinky.
